Super Mario Advance 2 - Super Mario World (USA, Australia) Gameboy Advance game

Super Mario Advance 2 is a perfect adaptation of the Super Nintendo classic, Super Mario World, featuring all the secret exits and levels filled with platforming fun.

Mario and Luigi plan the perfect vacation on Dinosaur Island, but everything goes awry when they discover that Princess Toadstool has been kidnapped again by the dreadful Bowser. The gallant plumbers Mario and Luigi embark on a fantastic adventure to rescue their old friend, defeating Bowser's minions and solving some of the most puzzling challenges they have ever faced.

Players can choose to be either Mario or Luigi at the start of each level. Mario is faster than his brother, while Luigi can float longer in the air, which is a new feature in the Super Mario Advance version.

By collecting power-ups, the brothers gain fantastic special abilities. A mushroom makes Mario grow, a fire flower lets him shoot fireballs, and a feather gives Mario a cape. The cape can be used to defeat enemies and allow Mario to fly for a short time if there is enough space to take off.

The brothers can perform spin jumps to break blocks and carry items like shells and P-switches. P-switches can turn blocks into coins and vice versa, offering endless possibilities for challenging puzzles. Another fun feature of the game is the ability to ride Yoshi. Yoshi first appeared in Super Mario World. When Mario or Luigi ride Yoshi, their dino friend can swallow enemies, spit fireballs, and carry special items.

Super Mario World is packed with secrets, as you would expect from a Mario game. In addition to hidden blocks and vines in the levels, there are often secret exits that can be very hard to find. Discovering these secret exits is the only way to explore all the levels in the game.

Please note: Communication features from the original game, such as linking two or more game cartridges, are not available in the Wii U Virtual Console version. This game can be played by one player on the Wii U Virtual Console.
