Neighbours Amiga game
In this racing game set within the Ramsay Street universe of the popular Australian soap opera, players assume the role of Scott Robinson as he competes against other characters in a series of races. Riding his skateboard, Scott faces off against rivals such as Mike Young on another skateboard, Charlene Ramsay in a go-kart, her brother Henry on a lawnmower, and Matt Robinson on a motorcycle.
The game features eight races set in iconic locations including Ramsay Street, the Lassiter’s Complex, Erinsborough High School, and Anson’s Corner. Players can choose from three different skateboards, each with varying attributes of speed and maneuverability.
Gameplay revolves around navigating through gates on a forced-perspective course while avoiding hazards such as kangaroos, emus, and other Australian animals, as well as obstacles like Bouncer the dog, Mrs. Mangel, and traffic bollards. Colliding with these hazards results in time penalties and a decrease in popularity, indicated by a fading Neighbours logo along the bottom of the screen. Players can restore popularity by collecting litter scattered throughout the courses.
