Kengi is a version of the game Othello, but instead of using stones, players use little aliens. Just like in the original game, players take turns placing aliens on an 8x8 board, with the objective of having the most aliens on the field when the game ends. To place an alien, it must be adjacent to another alien already on the board, and any hostile aliens between the placed alien and the next owned alien will be converted into owned aliens.
There are five main variations of the game's board, which can be accessed through a panel on the right side. This panel also provides a small preview of the aliens that have already been placed. The rules for placing aliens between the boards remain the same in terms of vertical alignment. Only one board is visible on the screen at a time. Additionally, there are three difficulty levels and the option to set a time limit for each player's turn.
