"Galaxian" is a classic arcade game that was originally developed by Namco and released in 1979. It became immensely popular and was ported to various home computer systems, including the Commodore 64.

On the Commodore 64, "Galaxian" was developed and released by Atarisoft in 1983. It is a fixed shooter game where the player controls a spaceship at the bottom of the screen and must destroy waves of alien ships that descend from the top. The aliens attack in formation, occasionally diving towards the player's spaceship and firing projectiles.

The gameplay involves maneuvering the spaceship to avoid enemy fire while shooting at the aliens to earn points. The aliens become more aggressive and faster as the game progresses, providing an increasingly challenging experience.

"Galaxian" for the Commodore 64 features colorful graphics and sound effects that capture the essence of the arcade original, although the C64 version may not be as graphically advanced due to hardware limitations. Nonetheless, it remains a popular and enjoyable title among retro gaming enthusiasts.
